sharpens the pencil creating a long and extremely accurate cone. sharpening occurs in 2 distinct phases. in phase 1 only the wood is sharpened, until the lead touches the automatic stop. in phase 2 using the second hole, the lead is sharpened with precision. the automatic stop prevents further sharpening and reduces the risk of breakage. also incorporates 2 additional sharpeners one for 2mm leads and one for 3.15mm leads suitable for graphite pencils, colored pencils and pastels.
